A House in Brooklyn
A House In Brooklyn
By Roxanne Jolie Renard
Miriam worked hard all her life. She studied journalism and broadcasting at New York University and graduated summa cum laude. She married and raised a family while building herself a successful radio career. She struggled with her job at first but, after years of paying her dues, she gained her own radio show and became known affectionately as the Babe of Rock and Roll. After the children were grown, she decided to take her career in a different direction, winning her own conservative radio talk show. Then she learned a shocking, deep family secret which meant she had to leave her husband and face her later years alone.
She had no intention of finding a new love for herself. But, now single, to her surprise she found she was attracted to a younger man. When he made advances, she realized she wanted him and was determined she wouldn’t let a little thing like age get in the way. Their unlikely relationship becomes a secret affair that blossoms into a deep friendship. His aggressive style is the perfect match for her cool reserve.
When Miriam fell in love with Jesse, he was clean, sober, and hard-working. When Jesse turned to alcohol and drugs and his life began to fall to pieces, it was too late for Miriam to walk away. She loved him and there was no turning back. Her life became intensely enjoyable and totally unpredictable.
Can Miriam handle the glorious chaos Jesse brings into her life? Laugh, cry and cringe as their love successfully carries them through the years.
Sex can be funny. It can be horribly sad. It can shock. Enjoy the ride.
“I loved reading about Jesse and Miriam. It should be a movie! ” — Emily S.
